Software Tester

Shodhana Limited is seeking a Software Tester responsible for manual and automated testing of software applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and quality. The role involves preparing test cases, executing testing procedures, identifying defects, and ensuring software meets business and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation

• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Python or Java.
• Create API test suites using Postman and REST Assured.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
• Build data-driven test scenarios for business and financial calculations.

Testing Activities

• Perform functional testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Conduct cross-browser compatibility testing on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Internet Explorer.
• Carry out performance testing for applications supporting 10,000+ concurrent users.
• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA.
• Perform regression testing for monthly releases.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, and test reports based on project requirements.

Client Requirements

• Test financial transaction processing workflows.
• Validate data integrity across development, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure compliance with Shodhana Limited’s business rules and calculation logic.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of software testing experience, with exposure to automation testing.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of Python or Java.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using JIRA.
• Knowledge of database testing and SQL.
• Familiarity with test data management, environment setup, and CI/CD integration.

Domain Experience

• Experience testing financial or other business-critical applications.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools.
• Ability to identify, document, and report software defects clearly.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
